Area unemployment continues to trend down - Hutchinson Leader ...

For the second consecutive month, the jobless rate in all four counties that make up Minnesota Economic Development Region 6E declined in September, according to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.

Unemployment decreased in both McLeod County (down to 6.0 percent) and Hutchinson (down to 6.5 percent).

The jobless rate in neighboring Meeker County hit its lowest point in four years, at 5.5 percent.
